I was perusing Mugnai's current selection of delectable foot candy, and found a few goodies I wanted. I own a few of their sandals, so this is rather perfect. Totally delicious flats to start your Spring out right! Visit and explore, they have a few more that are lust worthy.
And these will have a special place in my closet. I love the eclectic glam factor!

Paris-based handbag designer Philippe Roucou, has been added to my list of "emerging labels" to watch. There is always something strappy, slouchy embellished, and conversation inducing in his collections. I love that his bags never overstate the obvious — intertwining rather than overwhelming. I've shared a few key looks from his Summer 2010 collection, but do visit and explore more of his offerings.
I know things are still slow around here, and I still have so much to share from the two fashion weeks I attended, including a few trade shows, like Première Classe. And now we have plenty of showroom visits to share. I am truly trying to clear my schedule to get SheBreathes back on track, so expect the next few weeks to be filled-to-the-brim with the new, emerging, and established. For now here is a snippet of what was on display. I only attended two days, which were brief due to a full show schedule. I will share a few of my favourites designers from the event next week!

I'm digging these neck pieces by Australian-based accessories brand 2 by Lyn and Tony, which is designed by photographers Lyn Balzer and Tony Perkins. I love the lush and bold handmade pieces, that can add a bit of sparkle to any outfit. From loops of fabric to big bows, there is plenty to discover, so visit and explore.

I'm on an accessories overload! This time I'm smitten with Trust Fun, which is connected to one of my daily reads Fashematics. Love their Rockmen necklaces, in chunks of gold to splashes of purple, hot pink, blues, and greens. There is plenty to sink your eyes into, so visit and explore all their offerings, including their scarf collection.

NJAL, never fails to offer-up a few designers I haven't heard of yet, which is why I'm always on the site shopping away. Always searching for something different to add to my closet, which is how I came across emerging shoe designer Lislie Yeung, who graduated from Parsons and LCF Cordwainers. Her current collection is dubbed Albino, and it's filled with hand-dyed lace details and placement prints, which any shoe designer worth her weight in cobblerville, knows is no easy feat. Not to mention she's exploring different heel heights within her first collection — another plus in my book. Yeung says this collection is a "work in progress", which leaves me excited for what's to come!

I featured emerging designer Frank Tell last year, so of course when an invitation arrived to attend his Fall 2010 collection, I couldn't say no. I arrived rather late, thus why my vision into his intricately knitted and looped-out urban chic collection was skewed. None of this stopped me from feeling like Tell has hit a nice stride, one that had his skills on full display. The softly structured leather skirts and jackets were the cherry toppers, as was the pops of powder blue, mustard, and soft grey.
After it was all said and done, I stuck around chatting with friends, while the Frank Tell team packed-away their creations. Little did I know that the smart-looking young man sitting across from my friends and I, and listening intently to our conversation, was Tell's business partner. We banged-on about who we fancied, who we were disappointed in, and what aspects of Tell's collection we loved. He listened to every critique, every rave without ever interjecting. After introductions and hearing his vision for the brand, I had a deeper appreciation for the Frank Tell brand. It also reaffirmed why I champion the talented and hungry. Tell's Fall 2010 collection is brimming with possibilities and he's on the verge of a major breakout. The good thing is he has the talent to match the hype and accolades bestowed upon his designs.

As a person who collects jewelry, designer Rosana Raljevič Ceglar's, label Niiro is perfect for my wishlist. Each piece is elaborate in technique and texture, filled with plenty of knitted-like entanglements and lush colours. As many can attest too, the labyrinthine byways to good design isn't an easy one, which is why I champion those who emerge from the pack, beating a path with their own drums. As always dreaming doesn't cost anything so inhale, visit, and explore.

On Friday I will get to see emerging design duo Johanna Perret and Tutia Schaad's label, Perret Schaad's A/W 2010 collection, at the Berlin Fashion presentation in Paris. I'm looking forward to it, because I'm enamored with their clean aesthetic. Their cutting techniques have a definite flow to them, that drape the body in a way that doesn't overwhelm. One piece in particular I love, is the white blouse that has cut-outs at the shoulder. It sets an intriguing tone, one I hope they explore more of. Their use of colour is also interesting, from subdued neutrals to pops of beautiful earthiness — which epitomises what autumn/winter is all about. There is plenty to discover, so do visit and explore, and I'll be sure to report back after I've touched these pieces in person.

For Fall/Winter 2010 Canadian designer Jeremy Laing decided to shift his focus from his signature sculptural techniques to surface and texture. It's a shift I applaud. There was more to discover within each piece, than trying to sum the entire collection up with pretty words. This was Laing combining his architectural sensibilities with surface treatments, and proving he's precise with both. There were elegant lightweight fur coats, that were made of beaver, muskrats, and raccoon, that I was informed were all obtained sustainably. He also introduced knitwear, like a luscious bubble knit blanket coat and knit bubble pullover, that topped blocked jersey leggings and velvet blocked pants. There were no overwhelming pieces in this collection, it was all perfectly balanced by the skills of a young designer who's coming into his own.
This chestnut zip-front dress had me mesmerised. I couldn't imagine any other designer creating it with such focus. The model was illuminated by the column tunic basket weave leather sequins. It's easily one of my favourite pieces.
