I've been a fan of Italian designer Roberta Furlanetto for a while now. After my last trip to Italy, I decided to visit her virtual space and record her stockist, and swore I'd visit L'eclaireur in Paris while I was in Europe. I had to see her S/S 09 collection in person, because I was enamored with more than a few pieces. Sadly, I didn't make the boutique and once again I'm kicking myself for leaving London without visiting Dover Street Market, which carries some of her pieces too. Sometimes the heart wants, but the head forgets. All that aside, Ms. Furlanetto's collections are often filled with soft and sharp silhouettes, that look like they took months to make. The details in each piece must be seen in person, photos do them no justice. Her attention to detail comes as no surprise to me, considering she's collaborated with designers like Christian Lacroix and Azzedine Alaïa. Visit and explore all her collections, because if you don't know who she is, you should.
Below is a mix of the S/S 09 and A/W 09-10 collections.
And these beauties from the A/W 09-10 collection . . .
