Minamilism is a major theme for Spring/Summer 2011. And while many designers are just getting the memo, others have explored the idea and made it their signature. Italian label Ter et Bantine, by designer Manuela Arcari is one of them. While in Milan I was able to explore the S/S 2011 collection up close. Seeing the pieces in action gave me a deeper appreciation for what looks deceptively simple. There were so many hidden intricacies, like in the way a coat draped a model, the cut of trousers, or the airy pleats that flowed with each step the model took. These were things that no amount of macro photos can show, you had to hold these pieces in your hand to appreciate the cut and proportions. There was a point in the show that I wished a bit more editing had gone on, but the gems were worth the wait.
