London-based designer, Holly Fulton's S/S '12 collection is probably one of my favourite collections of the season. It's filled with art-deco inspired looks and a bevy of prints mixed with wild patterns and textures that make great separates. From the fun accessories in punchy colours, bikinis in funky patterns, to Holly's signature patterns paired with zebra prints — this is over-the-top goodness that you can get miles from. It's all about mixing and matching the separates to make looks wholly your own. It's a tongue-and-cheek collection that doesn't take fashion to seriously, but that doesn't mean that every piece isn't perfectly made, because it is. I know because I own 3 pieces from this collection, and trust me when I tell you there is never a shortage of questions about who made them.

Step Pretty with Liam Fahy

London-based, Zimbabwean shoe designer, Liam Fahy's take on the classically shaped shoe has me coveting his S/S '12 collection. It's filled with a style for every occasion. From the ribbon-tie-up satin pumps in dusty rose and violet, creme suede mirrored heels, suede burgundy booties, to the strappy deep brown Mary Janes — I can't get enough.

I can only imagine slipping your feet into one of his beauties would be like experiencing a bit of heaven, because Fahy offers-up a perfect balance between sexy and practical. Bohemian Glam by Fiona Paxton

We're back and we come baring goodies!

One of our favourite jewelry collections during London Fashion Week was from London-based jewelry designer, Fiona Paxton. Her aztec inspired and royal gold pretties for your arms, neck, fingers, and ears, had us wanting to scream her name around the showroom tents. From the geometric shapes on the gold pieces, to the over abundance of beads topped off with gold chains, and the leather studded cuffs — we just couldn't get enough of her creations. Everything in this collection is eye-catching and sure to have tongues wagging.

Soft + Sexy | Mark Fast A/W 2011

NEW YORK — Mark Fast has been a favourite of mines for some time now, but I haven't delved into his collections since one his S/S 2009 collection. What I've always wanted to do, was see his collections up close, and not just from the seat of a runway show. I got my wish during the London Showrooms in New York, which gave me a deeper appreciation for the time it takes to create each piece. 

The Central Saint Martins graduate blasted onto the fashion scene with an immediate aesthetic — holey lycra, viscose dresses that look like they were melted onto the body. With his A/W 2011 collection Mark branched out a bit into suede and leather pieces, but it's the knitted pieces, that drew me in. And in this particular area Mark continues to shine. One of my favourite pieces was the knitted coat above with it's puffy shrug-like shoulders. It shined on the runway, when paired with lace-up thigh highs. It made me sit-up and take notice, because here Mark moved a bit beyond the body-con pieces he's known for. This was volume mixed with plushness. The attention to detail in this one piece and the way it looked on the model  – perfection. Mark also pushed some of his signature looks a bit, by expanding on shapes and details – giving his global fanbase more than enough to covet.

Mark and his team of talented knitters, includes blogging/design friend Jen Jarvis {who we've featured} of Knit Kicks, so it's no wonder that the details are immaculate. Above and below is a glimpse into the collection on and off the runway.

Rock These | Dominic Jones

NEW YORK — London-based jewelry designer Dominic Jones latest collection was also on display at the London Showrooms in New York, and it was filled with pieces that both women and men can rock. His mix of  beautifully crafted, nature-inspired, claws, fangs, and spikes had me adding several pieces to my wishlist. I've been dreaming of pairing them with something soft to balance-out the edge. Above and below is a mix of rings, necklaces, earrings, and bangles that I can't get enough of. Do visit his space to explore more and indulge if you can.

Discover The Details | Fannie Schiavoni A/W 2011

NEW YORK — The London Showrooms by the British Fashion Council for A/W 2011 debuted in NYC on Monday at Soho Grand, and I couldn't pass-up the opportunity to see London's newest and brightest up close. One of those was Swedish-born, London-based jewelry designer, Fannie Schiavoni. Her beautiful crystal and chain-metal goodies were on display for all to inhale. There was plenty of her signature cascading body pieces, but what intrigued me most were her crystal pieces, and the scale-like bracelets and gloves. And, while most of these pieces may translate well on a model, one can't get enough of the attention to detail that shines through without one. Her pieces go beyond armour, they're sculptural in shape. And, there is a level of femininity that renders each piece soft.

From the chain-metal tank with shoulder details, to the beautiful neck pieces below, which are like flutters of metal that drape, mold, and fray perfectly to the wearer, making the materials used secondary. It's as if Ms. Schiavoni is gently nudging you to let the pieces free you from your preconceived notions of what tinted titanium and chain-metal represent.
