I must apologise for the lack of features this week, the days sort of slipped into eachother, and got away from us. But before you enjoy the start of your holiday weekend, I wanted to share the soft structural elements of Italian designer Alessandra Marchi's jackets and coats, from her F/W 2010/11 collection. They have me wishing for snow-filled streets. Streets I'd navigate wrapped in one of her creations. I love the soft versus hard elements — like the intertwining of knitted details with leather and zipper details. Or how each piece drapes the model's body, presenting a silhouette that screams "wear me or wear nothing". Clearly, I dig several pieces in this collection, but the all important question is do you? Do you feel like being wrapped in a soft cacoon of style? If so, be sure to click to explore all her collections, because there is plenty I haven't shared.

Wishing all of you a beautifully blessed holiday season, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and all that good stuff. We will be back next week with a few wrap-up of 2010 posts, and news about 2011.
Beijos e amor,
DS De Carvalho
