While, I've had these tracks for a few weeks, which were released after the SOL single, I still wanted to share them with all of you. Sade's album will be released worldwide tomorrow! While many are saying the band hasn't missed a beat. Let me explore why. Sade is near and dear to me, for more reasons than mere fan to artists. They've helped me along with millions mend those broken and wounded hearts. Soldier of Love is not a continuation, it's Sade the healer, it's Sade putting words to universal situations but deeper than before. Well past the gloom and doom, and straight into what heartache and healing is. I swear had this album been released two years ago, I would've thought they had stole a page from my life. I can't imagine how many will feel the same way, when the album finally releases tomorrow. I was so caught-up and in love with someone who didn't love me, who left me for a lioness, who knows exactly why we couldn't have the moon and the stars, and whose skin I had to wash off to allow someone to love me again. I know I'm not the only one whose felt Sade speaks to the depths of the wounded soul, but as cheesy as this may sound, they do, they have, and I am grateful because it's still helping me accept the things I refused two years ago. I am a different woman, which is why In Another Time feels so apropos. It's more than "he hurt you, you cried", it's deep and fleeting. All three are some of my favourite songs from the album, which I've weaved in above with my own little ode.
