I've been sitting on the fence with Danish label Bitte Kai Rand's S/S 09 collection for a while now. At first I thought it was too trendy, but over time I just couldn't resist liking the layers upon layers in this collection. The styling is pretty spot-on and inspiring, which of course begged the question if these would translate well off the runway. I haven't tried any yet, but I have high hopes of pulling off the first look, while I'm on hols. They also kill two trends with one stone adding in the boyfriend look for good measure. Perhaps a bit too perfect, but definitely not sloppy or frumpy. There is an art to layering and I think Bitte Kai Rand captured it beautifully with his collection. Visit and explore more because there is loads I didn't share.
I also liked the make-up used on the models and the ribbon detail in the hair below, it's unexpected because she's rocking a hat, but there is more to discover when you see her walking away — nice.
